Transitive and Intransitive Verbs
*A verb that takes a direct object to complete its meaning
is a transitive verb.
He spoke to me.
*A verb that does not need a direct object to complete its
meaning is an intransitive verb.
She laughed loudly
A. Underline the transitive verbs and circle the
intransitive verbs in these sentences.
